Hello! I was hoping to hear some tips on enrichment toys or activities for a single-ferret. He already has, and enjoys a bunch of the basics (i.e. cat toy, plush toy, crinkly-tunnel, ball-pit, impressive collection of my missing socks and assorted personal belongings...) but I was specifically thinking more in terms of puzzle games (or toys, if safe. he does like to gnaw on things.) that might help keep his mind sharp and engaged.
He seems pretty happy chewing on my hand, I'm just not sure how much that's doing to exercise the problem solving part of his brain.
I'm new to the forum, so just some background information: I rescued my ferret about a year ago, he doesn't care for other ferrets but is very affectionate/friendly with people. I understand that ferrets are very social animals, and am sure to invest time everyday interacting with him. Sorry to ramble, I just didn't want anyone to be concerned he was lonely!
I also move back and forth between home and university, so toys that are lightweight/on the smaller side and easier to transport are preferable.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you guys have, I really appreciate it!

I have a single ferret too. Mine likes cardboard boxes to play in. I will get a vary of different size boxes nd cut holes on various sides and take the boxes together to make a maze. You can hide things in there.
I also have a pile of old clothes and towels. I put my hand under it and wiggle it around and he likes to pounce on the pile then digs and finds my hand. He's hunting! Lol
I also have a blanket he will go under and burrow around in there.
Also little balls with bells in them! They like bells! A cat wand with feathers on the end too.
Since ferrets like to stash stuff, I always take out all his stuff from his hiding places and put it in a pile on the floor and he takes them and hides them again. Keeps him busy.

I have a few things that I do for my single baby. I had some adult footy pajamas that got too small. I cut the toes open and he LOVES to go in there! Also, my husband got a drainage pipe section, one of those black plastic slinky like (corrugated) tubes with little holes(perforated) in it maybe 6 inches in diameter. It can be any length. He loves running in and out sometimes laying on his back and pulling himself along. Also loves to fetch a ball thrown into the tube or push or pull a sock from one end to the other. At one point, my husband put a joint on it and connected another pipe so he could turn the corner and come out a different place. He absolutely loves shoes or boots especially. My son sometimes leaves his work boots in the bathroom and Booger spends much time trying to get inside one boot and then the other. Also in the bathroom, the dirty clothes/towels seem to end up on the floor. I like to pick up Booger and toss him onto the pile which gets him so excited he starts the weasel war dance running from one end of the bathroom to the other. Also I have a zipper cooler and he can sometimes unzip it and climb in. Hope this helps some.

Mine likes to play with me, but I have noticed that he seems to like dangle type toys right now so I got him a cat toy (wand with some dangles hanging that have bells on them)

He does seem to enjoy messing around in my clean laundry when I'm trying to fold it I'll see if I can find some old t-shirts for him to play in, thanks!
