Hello everyone and thank you in advance for any and all advice even if not related to my million questions. I currently have 7 babies (5 in one cage and 2 in another in separate rooms due to some of my ferrets being buttheads) and they’re eating Wysong and Vital Essentials FDR for Dogs (I know what you’re thinking.. the cat version has goats milk and I’m getting rid of the Vital Essentials completely) I have a shipment coming in tomorrow with ZiwiPeak Air Dried Lamb and Beef. I also have Stella and Chewys Rabbit, Duck and Chicken because I was told they need different proteins. My questions are:
Is this better/healthier than kibble feeding?
Do I have to rehydrate it every meal and if so should I leave a bowl of the pieces for munching on?
If it has to be rehydrated what’s the best way of doing so?
How many times a day should they be eating this and how much?
Do I feed them a different one every day or every week or?
Do I have to brush their teeth if feeding this? How often?
Because they are already eating FDR pieces with their kibble can I just completely cut out the kibble immediately?
I’m sorry for all of the questions and I’m sure I’ll think of a million more hah, I just want everything to be perfect. I also want to add another baby in the near future once I have the diet down perfectly for my 8 month old, she’s kept with my old lady that mostly sleeps and I want someone more her age for her to play and bond with.
Side Note: They were being transitioned at the soup phase when one of my babies became extremely ill, I had to stop my transition to focus on my sweetheart who unfortunately passed a few weeks ago. I am in no way against feeding an actual natural raw diet, the process is just extremely overwhelming to me.
