dothan.craigslist.org/pet/2442306125.htmlThis is the only ferret shelter in my area and I know she's been having a hard time. Now that I have a car, I'm doing to try and head up there to help out, maybe talk my parents into letting me take a few home. If anyone else is around here, she's got a lot of older fuzzies who need a loving home. The one time I went up there to give a donation, she had probably 60 fuzzies in her house.

Oh no! I haven't talked to Sandi since christmas (I was Ms Honey's santa from the giving tree). She had said she was losing her job. What a sad day. I just emailed Sandi and volunteered to take in one - I know most of her rescues are bonded groups and she doesn't break them up, but maybe she is now. I wish I could take in more but I'm finishing Grad school and its just not feasible

She did have 60+ when she had to make the decision to close her doors (she said she cried for days). Now she has a wonderful woman who is helping her transport them to other shelters in the northern florida/ pan handle region. I'm not sure how many she has left but she was grateful to me for just taking one! So i'm sure she still has many that need placing.

How heartbreaking. Poor wee things. You're an angel jacksmomma for taking in this wee one. How hard can it be to loose your best furfriend and then your home. She will be an at risk rescue, but then you already know that, poor wee thing. Good luck ciao

@ Heather - I will probably be coming to you a lot for help. She is supposed to be arriving around two today. I have separated my FN and made the top her's and the bottom Jack and Brady's. I bought her the pink elephant from Marshall's so she has a bed that doesn't smell like the boys and is JUST HERS. I will give her RR and probably keep her eating what she's been eating for a few weeks - totally ferret and duck soup Jack and Brady are great little boys and if she will have them, they will readily accept her into cuddle times.
