Hi personally I would not breed her again this year if she has lost the litter there maybe an underlying issue I would place her on a diet rich in calcium ( bonemeal or ground up egg shells ) give a good pinch to her with every meal It maybe her calcium levels have been low normally Because she has lost this litter her body will need time to replace everything she put into those kits ( bone formation muscle etc ) if I breed a jill at say 2 years old and I wanted another litter from her I would wait until she was four years old so her body was fully recharged hope this helps Bev

Good idea, poor girl. For health reasons most females shouldn't be bred more than twice in their lifetimes anyway. It's hard on them.

Hi the injection is a good choice but you mentioned you had a hob have you ever thought of having him vasectomised ?( its a lot cheaper in the long run than pulling out for jill jabs !) it also means after this breeding season they can live together with no resulting babies and you may also gain back his vet costs by telling your friends you have a vas hob for hire lol he will truly enjoy that job I know my guys do well until later in the season when they could not care less if they see another jill or not lol Bev
