a little bit of background, but i feed my 3 ferrets commercial raw. they get radcat and their 3 proteins are chicken, beef, and venison. i understand that they will need bone in their diet, and i was recommended here to get chicken necks. so here's my questions. be prepared; they're probably all very stupid questions haha. 1. frequency? should this be a twice a week replacement for their radcat, as an example. i'm not entirely sure how to balance it out on their current diet. i have 3 ferrets; 2 female and 1 male. 2. how do you feed yours it? i've seen people say to just toss it in but im not sure if mine would recognize it as food. or if that is the recommended way. do you cut yours up or just let them have at the whole thing? sorry if anything is poorly worded! i know that frankenprey/soupie is the preferred diet but if possible i'd love to keep them on the radcat.

Not a stupid question at all And a very good idea if you can pull it off as radcat ONLY uses eggshell powder, so they loose out on those micronutrients found in raw marrow and bone. To start you will likely need to smash it up almost to a mince and slowly mix it into the radcat grinds. Over time you just mince less and less.
