I buy from grocery stores, raw feeding pet food stores, and ethnic markets

Depends on the type of raw diet you want to do a bit too. Whole Prey and some commercial raw like grinds can be bought from online raw providers such as Hare Today, My Pet Carnivore or RodentPro if you are US based. Frankenprey raw can be bought from your local grocery store, though they don't usually carry enough protein variety everywhere. Your best bet will be an Asian or other Ethnic store as they often have a much larger variety of proteins(such as rabbit, duck, goose, quail, frog, etc. usually not found in your local grocery stores) and at better prices than most stores or the online raw providers offer. Holistic Pet Supply stores will often sell you commercial raw grinds in either frozen patties or FDR forms, and some will also carry grinds made from whole ground animals, along with some basics like chicken/duck necks, etc.
Often buying the meat specials/deals or buying in bulk can save on your raw cost too, and if you have the extra freezer space it can help even more, especially if you might need to travel to get all the raw you need.

I buy mice and rats from Perfect Prey Or South Florida Rodents. Hare Today is another place to buy food but u have to get at least 10 lbs worth of stuff. I get 7 med guinea pigs and that fulfills the 10 lbs. They have a variety of protein as well--- including organs.
Farmers markets have chicken hearts from those who sell chicken, but u you can also get hearts from Hare Today. I sometimes buy Tysons hearts and gizzards to get hearts (they are sometimes skimpy with hearts). All Asian stores that I have been to sells frozen quail. Pork can be gotten at store---make sure no added spices and other stuff in it. I buy turkey thighs or turkey legs at the store and use my scissors to cut off chunks.
(my farmers market sells quail eggs)

I get my raw from butchers or from where I get my whole prey, Paul Walkers butchers sell raw food for dogs for 50 for a kilo bag. I get my whole prey from Cadmans Animal Feeds, they sell the Bulmers raw grinds there which include bone and organ so sometimes I get my raw from there too.

thanks everyone! I love all the input! I ordered from mypetcarnivore.com and went to my local butcher who actually sells raw grounds for pets!

racheltorres When getting grinds locally from a butcher, please double-check the balance, as not all grinds are always balanced. It should either be a grind made from whole ground animal which would make it balanced, or have the ratios of 65-70% muscle, 10-15% bone, 10% heart and 10% organs (half MUST or all CAN be liver).

Yes! I did just that! They had one for dogs that was too high in bone so I asked if they would take a custom order! We got the same ratios you listed above!
