Hi All,
I couldn't really find anything quite like what I'm experiencing with a search, so here I am! I have 2 females, both about 2 years old. One of them will occasionally gnaw on hard foams such as couch cushions or box spring padding. It's not done in a destructive way, and it doesn't appear to be playful either. I'm more concerned that it is something to do with her teeth or gums. They don't look out of the ordinary to me, but I'm no expert on ferret dental hygiene. I feed them the Drs. Foster and Smith food and they get a Bandits treat (Chicken or Beef) every day or so.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I'd have teeth checked by the vet. They are doing that because it feels good to them. Are you brushing teeth? On kibble, and especially with those treats they should likely be done daily.

I will have to start brushing their teeth and see if that helps. Thanks!

Ingredients: Freeze-Dried Fish, Dextrose, Antioxidants (containing Tocopherols, Ascorbic Acid, Natural Flavor, and Citric Acid), Glucose Oxidase (Aspergillus niger), Dried Whey Protein Concentrate
Second ingredient is a sugar. I wouldn't.
