Chunks of raw meat should be fine for at least 12 hours, and probably more. The thing is, your ferrets won't eat it if it's gone off, so there's no risk to them. I've seen it happen: one day I left raw grind out in the sink (defrosting, but I didn't get back to it in time). It seemed OK to me so I tried serving it. Maisie hovered over it, and then completely ignored it. It was pretty cool to see that she could keep herself safe You can definitely put the meat out frozen. Some ferrets even like it like that, especially in the summer. (Maisie wouldn't touch it. She's a spoiled brat who prefers everything to be lukewarm.)
