Hello everyone! Now that I’m making progress with both of my fuzzies transitioning to freeze dried raw, I’m wondering if this is going to be balanced, for potentially long term. If I’m feeding Stella and chewys & use the duck duck goose, chicken, turkey, and rabbit & alternate between these. I just want to make sure they’re getting everything they need, enough taurine, etc. In addition to the freeze dried each ferret gets 1/4 tsp. pure salmon oil 2-3 times a week not exceeding 1 tsp. per ferret per week. One of my ferrets is not fully eating the FDR, but we’re slowly but surely getting there, I’ve been working really hard on it. I’m using CET enzymatic toothpaste & trying to get the teeth brushing in 2-3 times a week.

Just gonna reply on here to like I did in your other thread.
S&C Feline is considered balanced, yes. It does 98% meat and has sufficient levels of Taurine. You can feed this long-term as your choice of raw diet, just continue to keep in mind those issues that come with grinds (as you already are), and make sure that nobody is becoming overweight from it either (keeping in mind that in winter ferrets do get chubby as they eat more for that season) by overeating.
Generally, we advise that your diet include at least one red meat. Now, there's usually some fuss on whether duck is considered red meat or not with some people. So the easiest to add to your diet would be a well-known one like beef or lamb, which are for sure, red meats.
You're good on the oil, be sure to keep an eye though that it doesn't cause runny poops in anyone, but using up to the limit of 1tsp per ferret, per week should be good.
And you should be good on the teeth brushing, just check regularly as well to make sure the brushing is indeed keeping them nice and clean, and that there isn't build-up issues in places you might be struggling to reach properly.
