PETA is the least of problems I just left the fish and game commission meeting and those stubborn old pricks basically laugh at us and tell us to get bent. On the upside the ap and another news outfit was there to do articles / videos. After the meeting they interviewed Pat Wright of legalizeferrets.com

Sorry it didn't go well for you. I've basically given up that ferret legalization will ever happen. I'm just going to move out of state instead

I hate peta!
And I think PETA is WAY worse than fish and game. At least fish and game tell you straight up - no. Peta decieve you and tell you they are trying to help them out (as a ferret owner you are entralled, and decided to give them some money to your cause) later to find out that really, they have been trying to eradicate domestic animals all together.. and you actually are helping them!!

Ugh - I can't stand this. This and H$U$. The unwitting people who give money to these organizations have no idea that it goes to hire lawyers and start lawsuits for animal rights cases, and take away more and more the right of legitimate breeders out there who actually are fighting for the health of different kinds of animals - their agenda isn't to protect animals, as so many blindly think, it's to take away our right to have pets at large. My understanding is that BOTH HSUS and SPCA are anti-reptiles/amphibians as pets, which I'm also into. Also when you give money to them nationally they share only a pittance of that with local shelters. You can support your local shelter directly, I do that, but I won't give them any money nationally!

A PETA person actually came to the Petsmart that I used to work at and poisoned the cats in the adoption room. All of the cats were dead the next morning. They caught her later (since there were cameras), and she said she did it because they are better off dead than in cages. I hate PETA with a passion. I'm not going to even get into why, because I could fill a book with it.

I have heard of PETA employees doing such things. I don't know which stories are true and which aren't but they've been accused of poisoning the water at dog shows.

Peta SUCKS....they'd have you raising your ferrets as vegans even though they proclaim the domestic ferret is a wild animal.
