I have two Ferrets; Hamilton and Eliza Ham is raccoon coloring and Eliza is panda, they're so sweet and I love them so much (even though I've only had them for a week or so) I got them for my birthday, we already had a cage my rats were in and we had the money to care for them... After weeks of begging *cough* I mean, after asking my mom for one for my birthday, she got me one. She insisted we would only get one, a day later we got Eliza because my mom fell in love with Ham and wanted a ferret of her own, and she wanted to give Ham a buddy!

Hi and welcome to the forum! We're glad to have you. Feel free to browse the forum, join in the discussions going on, or ask any questions you might have.
I do have to ask what cage you are using for the ferrets, not all cages that are considered okay for smaller animals like rats would necessarily be considered okay for ferrets. Many of the commercial cages advertised for ferrets, like Kaytee ones, are not actually appropriate for them and will only end up with a lot of headache for you and even possible harm to ferret.

Hi, and welcome to the forum! That's really nice that your Mom fell in love with ferrets so quickly, and that Ham now has a buddy! I think pandas are gorgeous, but just so you know, they are often deaf. Deaf ferrets are just as wonderful as any other ferret, but they might need a slightly different approach. You don't want to startle them by touching them without warning, so it's good to let them see you first, or to feel you by knocking on something nearby. They are very good at feeling vibrations so they can often feel you walking around. They can also learn hand signals, and be trained to come to you when you thump on the floor. Anyway, welcome, happy birthday, and enjoy your fuzzbuts!

Hi and Welcome! Hopefully your cage is big enough for the two of them. I have my little man in a critter nation that I got at petsmart on sale for $219.99 but I had a 25 dollar off coupon that you can get in the app if you beat their little treat trail minigame.

Sorry I haven't been oh here in a while! I was busy! Anyway! LindaM and jakeparrot; the cage is an All Living Things cage and it housed five rats at one time with no issue, it has 2 full levels and 2 half levels each with about a foot apart, this one; goo.gl/images/VQG34q I've trusted the company for the majority of my small pet products, and I hope to make the ferrets at least partially free range when I move somewhere safer and there isn't mice and rats in the same room (I read that the ferrets might try attacking them...) I want them to be able to run around (supervised) for the majority of the day and have them in their cage at night or when no one is home Blue; that's great info! Thanks! She shows no sign of deafness, but I'll definitely keep that in mind.
