My golden doodle (outside dog) managed to catch a rat and laid it in middle of the driveway. I did not move it as I was on my way to town. When I came back, it was not on my mind and evidently I straddled it with my car. So the the next day as I waiting for the electronic gate to open to pull the car in, my dog trots out in middle of driveway gets her rat and lays it to the side. It was so funny. She meant the car was not going to hide it. I should have gotten rid of it that time because a day later, she goes over to where she laid it and starts crunching down. For some reason, I thought dogs would not eat rats. She is somewhat of a hunter as one year she plucked some baby birds out of our hedge. Then one time she brought a dead baby rabbit up on the porch. It is like she is part cat. Anyway my hubby is well-pleased about the rat.

Now you know dogs will eat ANYTHING- including rats! Their behaviour can be really funny when they decide they like something.

Hahaha my old dog who was just a mixed breed (couldn’t tell you what she was if I tried) absolutely loved rats. We used to let our friends borrow her to flush out and kill rats at their houses she was relentless! Like your doggle, she would also leave them a couple of days, sometimes even bury them and dig them up, before munching down on them. She loved them smelly How funny! Dogs are so great!
