So my nephew has a small ball pit and my ferret Gwin got one of the balls that got left out and he loves it. He love pushing it all around the room with his nose. However he seems to be biting it too and now their are small tooth holes in it. I am worried he might swallow some of it so I took it away. I feel bad because he loves it and looks for it all the time. Do you guys have any safe ball replacement suggestions?

If it's damaged, take it away. But I know that a lot of people allow ferrets to play with ball pits. What kind of ball are we talking about? Can you show a picture?

I find they're one of the toys I only allow for play when I'm watching. I made a ball pit with them and a bunch of crinkle & rattle cat balls - just have to make sure they don't ninja them out Kronk is bad for trying to chew through them too

I haven't had any issues with plastic jingle balls, though I tend to avoid the ones with the super tiny jingle pieces and go for ones with a slightly bigger bell. Ping Pong balls and plastic easter eggs are also okay. I have one who ruined crinkle balls for everyone else in the house because she tries to eat them and so it isn't allowed anymore, but that's another okay one if nobody shows interest in trying to eat it.
I also allow mine to play with tennis balls ONLY when I am actively supervising, they are definitely not a supervision-free ball, as ferrets can chew the rubber strip or even the ball itself.
Rubber and Foam balls are not allowed at all, and soft plastic (which I am assuming was what you had) isn't allowed either because it's easy to chew through and swallow bits.
