I’m looking for a breeder in Ontario ( Toronto would be great) to get another ferret. I bought one from a pet store a week ago but I would like to get one from a breeder. I couldn’t find any nor in Ontario or other state. Does anybody knows where can I get one? Joey would love another ferret to make company to him.

The only one I would recommend is Heather. I know she has some very strict guidelines as to who she will adopt to. However she has no litters on the ground right now. Given you already have a pet store kit, her albinos would be the only suitable ones. Her others are hybrids and don't as a rule work out with mill ferrets. Your other option is to adopt from the rescue in Toronto. ferretaid.org/

I’ll check the rescues, I know a couple of them. If it doesn’t work out I’ll get another one from the pet shop. Thank you again.

LOL...why are you afraid of the 'binos? Eyes? "Binos are a softer ferret than a DEW/BEW....but I'm sure a shelter ferret will appreciate a new and wonderful home ciao

"Binos are some of the softest mannered ferrets I know. They have a mischievous streak a mile wide. When I first got into ferrets hubby told me flatly I couldn't bring one of those "red eyed daemons" in the house....all other ferrets were welcome but no albinos. I found myself doing a rescue of an intact 5 yrs old hob who just happened to be an albino. Hubby has insisted that a house isn't a home without a 'bino ever since. Odin was our introduction to the 'binos and a wonderful spokesman he was. I miss the wee lad but I now have 5 albinos and love them so much. ciao

Yes, the “problem” are the eyes (it’s not a problem, is just that I really don’t like them). Tomorrow I’ll check the shelters and if you guys know a pet store that sell ferrets I I’ll check them as well, Toronto area would be great. I really want a company for him as soon as I can.

Hello I'm looking for a kit. Would anyone know of where I could possibly adopt on in the Toronto area during this pandemic?

This is an old thread. It was started back in 2018.
Have you tried looking at shelters in the Toronto area? And try googling ferret rescues in Ontario.
