Thank you! I did lots of research before starting and reviews all the documents maybe a million times. Also got lots of help prior to the mentorship.
If I'm going to introduce new meats is that going to be difficult? I raise ducks and thought about once baby season starts for my girl to start keeping some for meat. They've never had duck before. Was also looking at rats but not sure what size is best.

Starting any new protein is going to be the same process as the change. Most ferrets will enjoy ducks so yes that is a great idea and as far as rats go get a large adult rat and gut it and butcher it to start out with usually works best. You will always want to gut them as most ferrets will just decorate the room with the guys. I do have one boy that enjoys m though.

My boy has been trying to take out the mice and hide them in the house, so we are trying to keep them locked up while eating now. One little ferret had to go and spoil it for the others.

With the mice I am thinking of moving to the extra adult large with them. Generally what's a good rule of thumb on how many to give them. Arioch ate one day 1 and a half so I started giving them 4 total. They seem to be eating them all but not sure if that's too much. They are still interested in dinner by the time it comes around.

You can go up in size sure, when you do just compare sizes and give the equivalent. If they are eating both mice you could actually try giving them one more to see if they will eat that also. Ferrets usually regulate on their own and in general do not overeat. There is always an exception to the rule though so just be watchful but I would not be fearful of over feeding them just yet. All of mine will stash so I let them out and close the cage behind them so they can't lol

My roommate gave then 3 yesterday instead of the 4 I had been doing because we were running low. Gotta get another order in. They were super hungry come dinner, when Arioch is hungry she will make a jump into the kitchen to look. I think with the extra large maybe 3 will work I'll have to compare when they come in. I guess I'm worried about under feeding also. With large 4 seems to be a good amount.
Arioch seems to take the mice she wants and moves them to her stash place but we haven't had issues with left overs except for night but they couldn't see it where they put it. Also Orion leaves is the tails now it's pretty funny.

So yeah, you def do not want to go any lower than 2each if they were ravenous at dinner time lol. Menu looks great! Today's question, Are cooked bones okay to feed? Why or why not?

Oh, yea Arioch gets bad when she's hungry and I'm scared she's going to hurt herself jumping from our couch to the kitchen just to look around. She follows me from the kitchen to their cage it's so adorable.
Cooked bones are not okay to feed. Once they are cooked they are more fragile and can split in their thorats becoming a choking hazzard.

Correct no cooked bones. Arioch sounds adorable. Is she jumping over a gate or just off the couch?

Off of the couch, our living room is tiny and she's a smart noodle and knows where the food comes from. We have a baby gate that has been altered for them not climb but she's found a new way. It's about a foot and a half jump from the couch to the kitchen. The couch is a little lower than the counter most of the time she makes it but every so often she hits her noodle and just stares up at me with that "what happened" look.
When I do bring out food she will follow me to their cage.

Lol they are persistent little buggers. I have to double the baby gate one on top of each other because they will jump over it. Maybe time to rearrange the living room though if she is hitting her head.

I already started moving things around don't want a hurt baby. Determined to go in an area unseen. I had a banish her from the bathroom because she got stuck bad somewhere a while back. She attempts to rip up the carpet now.
The moment you say yours climb the one Orion started to climb the baby gate... well jumped it. So looks like I might need to do two on top of the other.

Had a little scare tonight, I let them out to play and I didn't notice the back door was opened. Arioch got out for maybe 10 minutes or more. Our neighbors now probably think I am a crazy person. She popped her head out from the fence line to the neighbors trashed yard. I've never Grabbed those toys and her bedding so fast. Running around in tears screaming for her.

A www I'm so sorry she gave you a scare and so happy it was a short one and she is home safely! I'm also very sorry for not checking in the last couple of days, work has kicked my butt. Today is the first day I have had off in 6 days. Today's question, Why are fur and feathers an important part of the ferrets diet?
