Hi All!
I have been picking up lots of extra food lately to accommodate the little rescue we were lucky enough to take in, and I came across duck heads. We had a chicken head that came in a Hare Today order from awhile ago, so I cracked it down the middle as a test and it turns out little Obi just loves heads, so I grabbed a pack of duck heads at the asian market.
So my question is, was it okay to feed the head? It was impulsive on my part, I probably should have checked. If it is okay, what should I count the head as on the Frankprey diet?

Yes, they are okay to feed- a bit heavy in bone, so I personally would pair with a muscle meat. Super great he seems to love them though

Luke won't look at them and Leia took the other half of the head an stashed it, and she never returned to try and eat it. Looks like only little Obi will be eating those heads! He's pretty young so the extra bone is probably good for him. I'll just toss in some extra meat and he'll get his own special meal on those days.

Also a good meal following an organ meal I was thinking the brain might count as an organ, but I cracked the chicken head open, both me and my husband were unable to identify which part was the brain. We made a bunch of bird brain jokes after that. Thanks for the advice! I think at least the one little guy who will eat the heads will have better poos thanks to these heads. You know you're obsessed with your ferrets when the prospect of less icky poos excites you.
