My only snake, we've had him 6-ish years now, he weighs about 4.5 pounds, he did a long fast this winter but finally started eating again so hopefully we can fatten him up a bit this summer. He shed the night before so figured I would snap a pic as long as I was messing in his cage Yeah that's my kitty in the corner, she's allowed around the snake since she doesn't care and neither does he

Very nice looking ball python. I have one about the same size (named her Lily) I like your cage set up.

I like your cage set up. Thanks, they are stackable, you know, just in case I get another snake.... He's actually the 1st snake I'd ever handled because the pet store people were too afraid to take him out of the shipping container he came in and wouldn't feed him either. We got him because the pet store switched hands and the new owner wanted him gone! But the only person showing interest in him was the horrible lady we got Tweek from so they begged me to buy him at cost plus some free mice, he's captive bred and really a great beginner snake and won over a few snake haters in the family and at my work.

Mine's a boaphile, they are pretty spendy, I think it was almost $300 with all the heating and whatnot added. And they take awhile to get, like 3 weeks from order. He's in my state and they are really nice cages though, they also make them in any color which was another selling point for me, I really want a red one. There's vision and animal plastics and a few more cage makers out there. Although it is rather wasted on a bp since they just hide all the time but nicer looking than a rack and we have no plans to add a lot of snakes, just 2-3, a bp morph, a blood python and I want a western hognose.

He's very handsome, and matches my tattoo (of a python) quite well

Beautiful python! You can also DIY an enclosure if you're handy - save quite a bit of money. Mine's stackable but I won't be getting an additional snake anytime soon! This probably cost $50 or $75 with the materials. It's painted a pretty color now - this was when it was just finished:
