I feel the need to share my anxiety, lol. I have been waiting all week to get these 2 females that I found on craigslist, as I don't get paid until tomorrow The lady said that she would hold them, that it would be fine. She wanted me to text tonight to finalize the meeting and figure out how we were going to get their 3 story cage here. I've texted her twice now and I feel the need to bug. Kinda worried that she already gave them to someone and doesn't want to admit it (I've had it happen sooo many times with other pets I was getting). On the other hand, I work all day tomorrow, and my patience meter for waiting is non-existant, lol. We were planning on getting them in the morning, so I'd be kinda bummed to have to wait till evening. I figured I'd give her a call early tomorrow to try again.

Waiting is so difficult . You're just going to have to take her on face value unfortunately. It's the way of rescue. I had a little female ferret go that way. I had arranged transport for her and everything. Unfortunately, she was also very ill, she had not been bred, or brought out of season in 2 years. Her owner decided to give her away before the transport got to her We will keep our fingers crossed that everything goes well and tomorrow night you will be telling us about your adorable little ones ciao

Fingers crossed! And Heather- I think I remember the one you are referring to. There was a young woman on another forum I'm on who was telling us a similar story about her friend's ferret, and transport had been arranged to a shelter in southern Ontario, but she gave the ferret to a BYB, supposedly to be put with a v-hob

My understanding there was no v-hob....just a hob. I hope the little one survived. She was already in bad shape, she was in no shape to have kits ciao

Good luck to you, I've had many failed attempts at rescuing off of Craigslist as well (sorry, not helping) - I'm sure it will be different in your case though, I will keep hoping for you. Take lots of pics, and keep your chin up. It's truly exciting!!!!

I am very excited to say this: we got em!! The 2 girls are settled in (the cage was huge and after getting it home taken apart, it took a good 2 hours to try to figure out what went where again, lol). They get along perfectly with our 2 boys, and they all got to play for several hours in the house. The bigger girl is all white, but she isn't albino, and the smaller girl is very dark, she might not stay that dark though. I should be posting pics soon of the 2 girls sleeping in a tube together, already taken, just needs to be uploaded.

Yay! I'm so happy it all worked out! I want pics!
Just out of curiousity, did you happen to keep them quarantined before introducing them to your boys? I wouldn't want them to get sick from anything the two girls were carrying. Have they seen a vet yet?
