Liver smells to me.. all organs smell to me. But there is definitely a difference in general liver stink, and totally dead liver stink. I'm one of those highly iffy when it comes to meat people.. and I was blessed/cursed with a highly sensitive nose, I get to smell things the husband is all "Huh? I don't smell anything..", meanwhile I'm in bloodhound mode sniffing out the offending or intriguing smell, LOL. This makes organ and heart days the worst days of my week usually, but we do what we can to keep our furkids healthy. The ferrets come first!

I kept asking my roommate if she could smell what I was smelling and I got the same response as your hubby tells you. Lol so the detox poops are just an icing on the cake lol.

Little tip I learned managing a boutique some years ago, get a little container of roasted coffee beans, and have a good whiff of this every once in a while. It clears up your nose from other smells. We used to do it when sniffing multiple perfumes in a row. I now also use coffee beans to clear up smells from musty cabinets or closets around home and in the fridge.

If I don't wash their food storage cups past a day they smell pretty rank, but ground pork smells the worst to me by far.
Organs smell funky but not as bad imo.

Oh man, you aren't kidding. Raw pork has such a foul stench. My ferrets wanted absolutely nothing to do with it and I'm 110% okay with that! The livers I have now don't smell as weird as the ones before but I would take that corny smell over uncooked pig any day.

What's up with you guys? Pork really isn't that bad, lol, I think lamb is MUCH worse. And I've gotten to work with pork a LOT lately (I scissored up 6lbs the other day actually) since my cat's gotten onto raw and it is his starter meat from which we are progressing to other proteins.

Haha yeah lamb smells kind of like farts! I didn't notice it until a few weeks into feeding it to them though! I have 2 puppy pads in my room, uncovered, so that surely doesn't help! :x I'm going to have to start getting whatever pork you're getting! What brand do you use? I did get that batch from albertsons and it said "fresh pork from butcher" and that was it so maybe that's a janky kind with all sorts of hooblah in it? Did your fuzzbutts and kitty like pork from the beginning?
