We are trying but it seems like she finds new ways. She is a wily one. We she learned to climb the baby gate, we modified the baby gate, she learned to jump from the couch, move the couch and start using the marshal play pen to block her from the kitchen, she learns to climb it. Her newest one is somehow using the mini fridge to climb up onto the kitchen counters. I haven't seen her do it from the beginning but have seen the finish results.
Orion is pretty easy to please with blanket rides or just shuffling your feet towards him. I played peak a boo with the blanket this morning with them putting the blanket over them and taking it off. Arioch enjoyed it until the 3rd time and made a run for it while Orion starting dooking and jumping at me.
The boys are much easier to please. The girls have to be consistently stimulated!

I have to push my desk chairs into the living room when i'm not at my desk because my girlies climb the computer tower hop onto the chairs and then get on the desk. One has figured out how to even climb one of the chairs when it's pushed all the way up and still get on the desks. lol.

Good to know that it just isn't my female. I call her a little butt because she gets so distracted easily. She knows her meals come from the kitchen so most of the time she is looking in the sink for food or stealing the drain plug. Orion did the kitchen jump when he was winter weight he never made it but spring weight he can make it. When Arioch does play she plays really hard.
lol I think I would cry if my ferrets figured out how to climb in my kitchen. I call Akira "Naughty girl" because she's always up to something, destroying the couch, climbing chairs, climbing the cage, trying to squeeze under doors etc. She's so small nothing is impossible for her. Usagi on the other had is a big girl so far this summer I can only image how big she will be this winter so although she's trouble too she a bit limited, also distracts easy where Akira is like a laser once she wants something. You are definitely not alone. I have a ton of boxes and I just slightly move them around in the living room every day, plop them in one of the boxes and coat them with a sheet, the exploring keeps em busy for a bit.
Maisie loves drain plugs, both the kitchen one and the bathroom one. The other day, a friend of mine asked where the plug was. The answer was, "Behind the dresser." Life with ferrets. I'm just glad my girl isn't able to make it to the sink on her own like yours! She sounds full of mischief

She's not allowed out when we are cooking or anything in the kitchen is running. We have to modify out gage again... the foster ferret we had in December found a crawl space in the kitchen showed Arioch and she got in there couple of weeks ago. She bolts into that crawl space the second she gets in there. She started scratching at it like she couldn't get out and I ended up ripping the piece of wood off and she stared at me confused.
I did put some kid her cod skin into the dig box yesterday that kept her busy. She couldn't find the last piece and when I pulled it out she tried to take it but I quickly buried it again and I got the confused eyes. Then she started play attacking me. I did it again and she sits on her butt like she is saying "I am doing a trick!"
I'll have to make a video of all the ways she gets into the kitchen.
