That's really cute. Don't worry too much about the cold. We let our Florida ferrets out in the snow on our porch here in Tennessee and they went loco. They had a blast. Of course if it's real cold you don't want them out TOO long. Get this: I have a Marshall's health certificate here for Diego, dated 11/17/15. The last line states, "I hereby certify that the animals in this shipment are, to the best of my knowledge, acclimated to temperatures as low as 10 deg F." I didn't get such certificates from Petco ferrets in Florida, just a health guarantee. I have no idea if they were exposed to freezing temps before shipment IMG_1347 by unclejoe1158, on Flickr

Very cute! I always love watching mine play in the snow - as long as they’re dry, they don’t notice cold. Mine have always lived outside year-round here in northern Scotland; opening the hutch and watching them tunnel into a couple of feet of snow is a treat we still sometimes get.

I got that certificate too for mine 😣 poor babies. It's -1°c - -20°c right now in Canada. My girl was shivering from digging in the pan so I don't think I'll put them out any time soon

I bring mine outside for a few minutes to play in the snow and they love it I don't however bring them out below -10 to -15 in Canada. And then only for 10 minutes or so. Heather is in Ontario and her's have access to an outdoor run all the time. They often choose to go outside to play in it lol

I'm in Ontario too!! I can't find anyone that has ferrets around me.. except the people selling theirs on Kijiji.. the only pet store I found that has them is in Quebec so I had a little driving to do to get mine. But there's nothing in the pet stores for toys. I buy them cat and little dog toys. I still haven't found a 6" tunnel and I haven't found any online either. The ones I do find don't ship to Canada or they just don't ever have them in stock. They get in traffic jams in the tunnel they have now.

Go to a local home improvement store. Get a 4" black perforated drainage tube, about 10 feet. It is stiff, but can be bent somewhat. Mine love running in that thing. For a "game" use simple cardboard boxes of various sizes. Cut holes and duct tape together to create a maze.

I saw them. I might get one from home Depot. Just now they have a air conditioning tube.. for a window one. It's bendy. They love it. Also can I give them orijen cat treats? I bought some because of my boys refusing to eat meat.. they like orijen though.
