Yes, a while back, I was wondering if I was misremembering her diagnosis, because she was doing so well! She looks really happy in both of those videos. She looks a bit like the melting rug herself in the second one! She had a wonderful life with you, right up until the very end.

Blue it was liver cancer. There was a low chance of completely removing it and a stronger chance of the surgery killing her so we chose pred. She did do so well for a long time but the cancer caused cyst to form and one ruptured essentially poisoning her. They couldn’t tell it from the x-rays and ultrasound but her digestive tract didn’t appear to be moving so they believed it could be a blockage. They also could see that the cancer had spread and was starting to push on other organs. They explained to me that they could go in, remove a blockage if there was one and remove the cancer as well as whatever needed to be done. Again though there was no guarantee of success and she could pass away from the surgery. But what we did know for sure was that she was on her way out of this world and the only other ethical thing to was help her along. There was no way I was going to deny her her last chance so I chose surgery as I’m sure any of us would have done. They discovered the problem, flushed out the fluid and managed to remove the cancer but she passed away right afterwards. She was happy until the end and that is something that I will always be grateful for. motherofgryffindor I’m sorry to hear about your dog. I grew up with a dog, his name was Thunder Dog. We had him for a long time and I was devastated when he passed away. *hugs*
