Hello there. I have recently been trying to get heart introduced to my little carpet shark's diet. I have picked up KCC Naturals turkey hearts freeze dried dog treats.
Has anyone else used this brand? Input? I didn't want to get the Stella and chewys dog FDR just for the heart, too many fillers. So I figured I'd try a direct approach.

We give Vital Essentials' Chicken Hearts as a treat, but my lot still get regular frozen/fresh hearts for their heart meal or some puree mixed in with their commercial meals if I am using something like S&C for a meal.
The product looks fine, considering it is just hearts, but I cannot tell you how it will be accepted when rehydrated as I've never rehydrated ours and we don't give the FDR hearts for a meal. But I do not believe in giving a lot of dry FDR even for treats. If feeding kibble can have an animal toe the line of dehydration, I don't like to think what too much dry FDR might do since FDR tries to absorb moisture from whatever it touches.

And I know it's just hearts. But I do not currently feed any raw. Just S&C duck goose, and tickling turkey. There is not heart in any of those which is why I'm trying to get it in her diet. There is heart in the chicken but she always seemed extremely itchy after eating. Like dramatically itchy. I'm assuming she's allergic and I immediately stopped that kind. Thanks for the info I am mainly trying to find out if they're a trusted brand. I currently live in Delaware where we only have a place called Concord Pet Supples. They have a wide variety of everything, literally. And only 3 kinds of S&C cat 😡 All of which are FDR. I don't like the dog food S&C because it has way to many fillers I would never feed dry for fear of exact same thing.

The feline variety(S & C) has taurine added to it, but extra heart certainly won't hurt.

Yeah, I use the cat because of that reason. She isn't taking too fondly to the heart. Guess I gotta hold her and baby her. It's one of those - "I'll only eat it if you hold me" things
