If your wee girl doesn't have any health issues, there should be no problem in feeding her only twice each day, an AM and a PM meal so to speak.
I used to feed her the salmon... 3 kinds mixed. Then I went out of town for a few days and my dad didn't like the smell of it so when I came back she wouldn't eat it because he stopped using it. Haven't been able to get her to eat it since.
I guess I haven't been horribly under feeding but definitely have been. She isn't a fatty but also is the type of ferret that is a free bird so to speak. Only cuddles when forced lol. My point is I can't get her to sit on a scale nor is she skinny. She looks like a tube sock with a little side fat when scruffed.
The bowl of food eyeballed as a little more than what I was feeding her. But I just failed as far as being a quality furdad. Simple math should've shown me something was wrong. Guess the winter pickup with eating made me aware of something with her food.
I'll try 1.5oz twice a day.
One more thing, will some ferrets eat and eat and eat? Or do they eat until they're full and then stop. She literally destroys every plate, licking it clean.
