I buy mealworms for my hamster, and my parents use superworms for their bearded dragons. My question is.... Could a ferret have these sorts of worms as a treat? Just something to supplement the diet/add a little extra protein/see if Binx likes them

I'm going to see if hubby would be ok with potentially storing containers of creepy-crawlies in the fridge, I'd love to try it with our next fuzzbutt for some enrichment.
My boy used to eat ants. He also used to harass the stinkbugs whenever he could catch them, although he had the sense not to eat those!

I'll have to keep this in mind. We have a thing of worms in the fridge for fishing so why not a snack for the fuzzies haha.

How do you feed the worms? Just put them in their cage/feeding plate?

I raise mealworms for the quail and I’ve tried all my fuzzies with them - they just look at me as if I’m mad. I’ve tried letting them dig in the worm bin, dangling worms in front of their noses, holding them under their noses..... they ignore them totally. What’s the secret to getting them interested in wiggly things?
