So transitioning to a raw diet with my kits WAS going well. But as I've introduced fresh meat bits and bone in they've become more and more hesitant with grinds.
I'm needing to do an elimination diet and pulled the lamb grind out (that just two weeks ago they ate with enthusiasm) and they won't touch it. I tried to wait them out but they ended up eating maybe only an ounce of food yesterday which has me stressed and them hungry I'm sure.
So I gave in and gave them fresh beef I have cut up which I think hurts Calamity's tummy and I don't want to give her. What gives with the grind rejection? It's all grinds, chicken, rabbit, lamb. It's frozen and fdr. They won't take any of it any more and it's stressing this ferrent out!

Many times, once ferrets start on chunks, they refuse grinds entirely. Best bet I have found is start with spoon feeding the grinds again if they are to remain part of the long term diet.

Ohhhh okay great. Sometimes it's just really comforting to know that what you're experiencing isn't super duper abnormal. I'll also call our butcher to see if they can get some lamb.
