If that is kibble, I'd be hesitant on that much eggshell powder. It *could* lead to hard, dry stools.

pegleg Primal Raw is usually on the low-side of the meat-based percentage. It's better and actually preferred to not go lower than 95% meat-based, and only 5% indigestibles if at all possible. So Stella & Chewy's would be a better option as compared to Primal Raw. The Instinct Raw Nuggets are even worse, with 90% meat-based and 10% indigestibles.
The Instinct Rawboost Mixers, I am unsure of their meat-based percentage after the company's new design overhaul of their products as some formulas changed and new products also got released. I used to feed them as treats a long time ago before I switched to healthier options like Orijen FDR, Sojo's Simply FDR, and Vital Essentials FDR treats.
pegleg You can also try any local ferret shelters or rescues near you (if there are any), even if you are set on getting a kit, sometimes they end up with kits too because of people who buy them and don't realize that they are a high-maintenance animal and then get rid of them.
I've checked already. They're supposed to be getting more in this week. I checked craigslist and local listing, but the only person rehoming local wants 300 for 3 4-5 year old ferrets who have been kibble fed all their lives... I can afford the initial adoption but I don't know how many vet problems they may come to me with Since they're already approaching old age and haven't been on good diets. And I can't take on more than one more I don't think.
edit: What does this forum have against making frowny faces. : (

It's not the forum, it's Photobucket being a donkey with this new thing of theirs where they want like $400+ a year or something to allow you to share your photos on 3rd party/other sites.
As for the classifieds' fuzzies.. geez people there seem a wee bit high on the price range (even though it is 3 ferrets, thus lower than original cost, but yes, along in years which come with its own financial repercussions), especially if it's just a Marshall's ferret and yes, taking into account one that may have been kibble-fed that long or one that has no kept history of their health. So I totally get your concerns and it's always best to take the more prepared route, especially for your wallet and ability to provide them with the best you can offer them for safe and healthy lives. : )
I hope you can find another wee snooter that pulls at your heartstrings in this coming week then and we'd love to see them when you bring one home. ^^
And yeaaah. If it wasn't for their age I'd consider it but 3 older ferrets with bad diets is just too much a risk. I'd rather get a kit who I can start off right.
I hope so too <3 Binx can use a little playmate. I play with him a lot but of course when I have school or grocery shopping or whatever I can't be with him at all times. At least he took to raw pretty fast. here's to hoping he can show the new baby the ropes and tell him how great soupies are haha
Yeah, I use Imgur (I haven't touched Photobucket myself in years, lol), but a lot of the photos in the threads have been from users who used Photobucket and I'm sure the forum staff is doing their best to get all the emojis moved over to something else when they have time as well.
If you get a kit, chances are they will take to the raw just as fast. Kits are wonderful to switch, there's barely any effort truly required at all... throw food.. say have at it... and watch them stuff their wee faces. ; P
