Hi,
I am coming to this forum asking for your help. I adopted 2 ferrets a few months ago from someone who admittedly didnt take good care of them. I did a lot of research on the animals and have done my best to give them the best possible life. I have ferret proofed my home, switched them to raw, handled them a lot seeing as they were poorly socialized, and give them ample play time. After much work I have realised that these are not the pets for me. I had hoped they would be but they are not. I am asking for your help to find an amazing home for them. I don't feel right giving them to someone who will give them a home that isn't as good as mine and I realise this will be hard to accomplish. I don't want to post an add on kijiji because I doubt I will find someone who feeds raw. I also want to give them to someone who has or has had ferrets in the past. If you know anyone who would give them the kind of home they deserve please help connect them with me. I am patient and willing to wait a few months to find the right person. I am also willing to drive at least part way to meet the individual assuming they live in Ontario. Please don't hate me...

No one hates you Ferrets are not for everyone, and research, although it can help prepare you, is nothing like the real thing. At least you got them out of a bad situation, and for that, all of us here thank you! That said, we do have a few members from Ontario on here. I'm hoping they will pop on later on. Even if they can't take them, they may know someone who can. Can you give us any more info on these wee ones? Male, female, approx. ages, health, etc.?

Sherry is right, what you've done for these ferts is more then most would ever attempt. Ferrets are NOT for everyone. I am in the area, but truly have my hands full at the moment. I will ask around to people I know who would care for them properly. DO you have pictures? that always helps. Thank you for trying to find them a good forever home.

Too bad you aren't anywhere near me, I'm near Ontario alright, but not anywhere close to Toronto.
