1. Name: Missy 2. Weight: 920g (down 40g 😰) 3. Ferret has eaten about 1.5-3oz per meal. We were down to about .5oz for a few days and sometimes I can only get one good meal in her a day. 4. Stools: still loose and sorta goopy 5. Activity levels: hiding and sleeping a lot. For a few days she was only out and about for about 1/2 hour a day. But days when we get enough food in her she has a lot more energy and will come out for around 3-4 hours all together. I would like her to be awake for longer but I’m not sure if it’s just because it’s winter or if she is hiding. 6. Weekly menu: we have taken the slivers out of the soup for now. 1 step forward, 2 steps back I guess. 7. Picture:

1. Name: Flint 2. Weight: 1160g 3. Ferret has eaten ?? Hard to tell now that he eats on his own. He definitely eats smaller meals but more frequently. 4. Stools: Good, a little loose and dark but I guess that’s the extra hearts he’s getting. On a side note, he’s been having some urine leakage problems since his surgery. I’m not sure if we should get it looked at because it’s not a lot. It’s happens while he’s sleeping and he has a drop leak out 5. Activity levels: Starting to get pretty lazy. Since Missy’s been so reclusive his hyperness has slowed down too. He’s awake for about 4 hours a day. 2 hours in the morning 1.5 at night and little 10-20 minute spurts throughout the day. He has been getting into dead sleeps a lot more too. 6. Weekly menu: Started adding slivers to his soup. He’s doing well munching them up but today he is starting to protest against them. He licks up the soup and will eat a few slivers but then backs away. I guess we might be trying to move too quickly. I’m going to cut back on the size of the slivers and see how he does. 7. Picture: Will post in a bit. He is sleepy right now 😴❤️

Missy- 3oz is kind of a lot for a girly. I'm surprised she will eat that much. I mean, she is over a year and I know they can eat a lot at the start of a switch, but I'd say 1.5 is closer to her max, and that's for winter. Girlies really don't eat much, especially as they get older. I think the most Cow ate as a kit was 3-4oz per day, and kits are black holes. She eats closer to 2oz per day right now and it's winter. The amount goes down a ton in summer too. I think my three were only eating like 4-6oz per day? It's going to be lower next summer too because Cow won't be a kit anymore. I'm thinking this girly doesn't know what it's like to be hungry lmao Also, 2lbs is a good winter weight for her (Cow is 2lbs 2oz lmao. Fatty. She has so many neck rolls). One thing to keep in mind, when switching to raw, there is usually a weight drop about a month or so in then they go back up. She's right on schedule Flint- I would say his stools being darker are definitely the extra heart<3 As for the sleeping pee drops, if you feel like he could be having issues, I'd call and see what the vet says. Trust your gut woman. Yes, go back a step on the slivers, we want him eating them consistently. If he decides to avoid these smaller ones, just leave them in there no matter what, don't downsize, just let him get used to them again If he tries to avoid them after we downsize this time, he's just being a butt and trying to forget that he eats slivers.

She looks very elegant 😌 You just have to give her a pearl necklace and a little handbag. The only thing cuter than a chubby ferret is a chubby ferret in a costume 🤗 I know they hate it but OMG so cute! Flint hated me for this costume last year As for the furbutts, missy is getting over her fear of the food dish and is even starting to stop herself from squishy face licking. We have chilled out a bit with the feeding her too. If she doesn’t seem hungry or only eats a bit we don’t push it. AND SHE ATE ALL BY HERSELF TODAY!!!! Slivers and all! So proud 😊 Flint has been a sleepy butt this week. He fought the slivers altogether for few days but I think he has given up on that. We are doing about 1/3 of smaller slivers for now. He was also asking for breakfast this morning and somebody ate all of the food last night. We haven’t really been measuring how much either of them have been eating but we do notice a considerable drop in energy when they are protesting. I’m excited to get them off of the soup and onto boney, natural teeth cleaning stuff. Their breath smells terrible and nobody likes teeth brushing time

Cow always has reminded me of a snarky old woman... pearls and a handbag would be perfect OMG!!! LMAO! He looks so upset! *dies of cute and laughter* Missy- YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Seems she was just stuffed full pmsl. Flint- :/ what a butt. If you have to take away all food for about 3 hours, then serve slivers and such. These sweet babies will be bone crunchers in no time

Uh, so we were throwing around the idea of adding another ferret to the mix last night. And my husband came home with a 2mo little girl today. We had a discussion about planning and confirming with your other half before coming home with a new pet. But, what’s done is done and now it’s time to scramble to make room for her (Ellie). So any suggestions? She was on kibble and we have a few cups stashed away just in case but it would be nice to get her on raw ASAP. So far she has had no interest in eating anything and Missy has taken to her nicely. Flint is predictably a jerk so they just have short introductions for now. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know about our new addition and I’ll update later

Ooooooooooo, Dan is in TROUBLE. PMSL All joking aside- I'm more concerned with the lack of quarantine D: Since you guys didn't have one, you need to be on the watch for things like Upper Respiratory Infections, Ear Mites, Fleas, and ECE. I would be watching like a hawk for at LEAST a month. Pet store babies are notorious for having illnesses. Little bit of info on quarantine- Quarantine is suggested for 3-4 weeks. It is useful in case the newbie has an illness, MOSTLY because then you only spend money on treatment for that one ferret vs ALL of them. It also gives the newbie a chance to adjust to their new home, so they are less stressed and more accepting of the originals. It does the same for the originals. Ferrets, as they get older are like cranky old people that loathe change But, the quarantine has been broken for your crew, and there's not much you can do. You could still house them separately and do separate play groups for a few weeks to let everyone get settled in and used to the new smells. It would be pretty helpful. With little Ellie, I would suggest tossing a chicken wing at her, you may have to scruff and stuff it in her mouth to start, but kits are USUALLY super easy to switch. She will also turn into a black hole. That 3oz you were feeding Missy- that's approx how much Ellie will probably be eating. When we brought Cow home, she refused raw and I had no kibble, so I cut up a bunch of slivers and pushed them down her every 2-3 hours for three days. If you sit and feed her every couple of hours, you can usually get them switched over within a few days Let me know how she takes a chicken wing!

It’s hard to be mad at dan when he has a cute little furbit in his arms 😪 But he is also Mr Safety so HE WILL BE WATCHING THEM LIKE A HAWK 24/7 He got her from the same store we got Missy from and they were pretty good. There’s one girl there that actually knows stuff about ferrets and they include a free vet visit within the first week of having them. So fingers crossed 🤞🏻 It’s funny, she is the most normal ferret of the bunch so far! She actually dooks and isn’t terrified of everything and eats up all of chunky chicken soup!!! Her and Missy are getting along splendidly, Missy grooms her and they explore and sleep together. We have had to keep Flint at a distance because he gets very possessive of everything and has made her scream already (OMG ferret scream! 😱) We brought their cage up from storage last night so we can rotate ferrets in the living room too. Flint seems to love being in it... or he’s just upset that their is a new ferret using his cage. We have Ellie eating the soup and slivers so far and I’m gonna get some chicken wings tonight. She is a such a black hole! Dan introduced her to it this morning and she is just sucking it all up! No help required! *Noms noms Gotta go play with Ms Ellie! She is attacking my foot 😊

Honestly- her screaming could be because she is deaf. She has a blaze like Cow, so the possibility is HIGH. It could also be just because it's a new place. I'm sure the dooking will taper off as she gets used to her new home. When introducing new ferrets- no blood, no poop, no foul. Flint is likely just alpha, it happens. Ferret hierarchy is rough. I mean, Gator HEADBUTTS the other two when they make him mad/challenge him. He also will chase them and beat them up. 😂 With Flint and Ellie, as long as there's no blood or pooping, I'd leave them be. Hee hee- I can't wait to see how she takes a chicken wing. She seems like she will be easy to switch

Ugh, so finding plain chicken wings was a lot more difficult than you would think! Our butcher (he is actually called meat man!) won’t have any until next week and 3 different grocery stores didn’t hav any either 😫 But I finally found some today! So I smash/chop them up? How big should the bone pieces be? I don’t want her to choke on them, she is a little meat vacuum right now. And should we be doing “gravy and fries” in the meantime with her? Or try for all chunks?
We aren’t sure if she’s deaf yet, sometimes I think she’s oblivious to sounds and other times she reacts to them. So we will see! Lol! I haven’t seem Flint do any headbutting but he certainly loves chasing and beating up and face biting. He loves his face biting. Ellie seems to be holding her own with him!
Oh and good luck with the ratties! Dan wants to do live prey now too 😳
