Flint was coughing/sneezing a lot last night and was making sort of snuffly breathing noises. We were freaking out. But I think it was because I cleaned the carpet in the bedroom and he was reacting to it. The only thing is that he isn't allowed in the bedroom and never went into it. Missy was fine. He does seem to be the more sickly ferret 😪 I just woke up and he is still sleeping. I will post more later and do that weekly post too

1. Ferret's name:Flint 2. Ferret's weight:1022G 3. Ferret has eaten "2 oz" amount on average per meal. 4. Stools on various proteins: They are larger and sort of pink in colour now (?) 5. Activity levels:Wakes up whenever we are around and follows us wherever we go. Gets super excited when we go out but doesn't seem into playing with Missy 6. Weekly menu: Chicken soupie. Will eat off of the spoon by himself after being shown and we don't need to hold him anymore. He will not eat out of the bowl and won't eat off of the spoon if we put it in the bowl. 7. Activity levels: Sleeps a bit more than she used to but still up for playtime and exploring 6. Weekly menu: Chicken soupie. Eats by herself after dabbing her nose but still makes squishy face. We tried slivers but they seemed to turn her off eating 7. Picture of ferret from above:

Yikes, I hope he isn't wheezy today : ( Butttttt, on the other hand, GO FLINT! I'm so proud of him for eating from the spoon on his own!
With Missy, are you making sure she sees where you are getting the food that you are dabbing her with? Also- what's the ratio of slivers to soup?

Flint seems to be better. No breathing problems anymore! He also has this thing where his right eye is goopy sometimes when he wakes up. When he was younger he had an eye infection in that eye and we got antibiotics for it. The vet did look at his eye recently and said it looked fine. So I don't know... And when I put Missy's bowl down she will smell it but won't start eating until I put my finger in it and show her. Once she starts licking my finger I lower it into the bowl and she continues eating. She is soooo close to eating by herself! Just one more step Hun! And I usually add 3-5 silvers in her bowl of 5 oz or so of soup. I've cut them up a bit smaller too. She will eat the sliver when she comes across it but makes squishy face and sort of tucks her head down under herself and then starts cleaning her chest area. It's sorta strange. She seems to get sidetracked and continues cleaning herself and forgets about the food.

I'm glad to hear he's doing much better this morning<3 Did your vet happen to check his teeth? I've heard of occasions that they get watery eyes from teeth issues.
; ) You are on top of it! Keep it up, it WILL click for her eventually, and I bet it will be soon<3 Keep the slivers the way they are and the amount until we can get her eating from the bowl without your help, remember, slow and steady wins the race! Cow does the same thing : / weird chest lickers. Try bringing your finger back in front of her face when she does it, it should help keep her on track : D

Looks like tartar, it should come off with your finger nail or a qtip. You may want to brush his teeth so we can set him up for bone in meals❤

I tried getting that discolouration off his teeth with my fingernail, a q-tip, and a tooth gloss pick. But it didn't work and only agitated him :/ I should probably be brushing their teeth, right? How do I do that? I have a feeling that the ferrets won't be pleased. We saw the hedgehog today too. Everyone agrees that they shouldn't be left alone. Little cutie Mia, was shy and Flint said hello from outside her cage 😊 Missy was too busy trying to steal a decorative pomegranate to notice

To brush their teeth- Bonemeal powder (KAL brand is great), mix with water, and brush with either a pet or child toothbrush<3
Hedgehogs are super cute, I really want one, but I promised my husband a tortoise next lmao Bahahahahahahaha, stealing a decorative pomegranate! That's adorable!

A tortoise would be cool! Seems like it would be a bit more chill than a business of ferrets but I'm sure you could get everyone having an awesome time! I have some KAL bonemeal powder that I can use for toothpaste but I couldn't find a good toothbrush for them tonight. I'm guessing smaller is better? Ugh, it's not going to fun. Flint already hates it when we try to put things in his mouth and Missy gets freaked out easily. I tried sorta "practicing" earlier with my finger and some fish oil but I feel like it's going to be a battle. Missy hasn't been eating as well the last few meals. She seems to only want to eat off of my finger and when we manage to get her eating out of her bowl she makes squishy face and ends up cleaning herself and running off after a minute or 2. I'm not sure if she just isn't very hungry or she's uncomfortable with the bowl again. For dinner she ate about 1/2 oz in total off of my finger and then the bowl before wandering off. And when I tried again she resisted licking my finger at first but eventually started eating but just flat out refused to eat out of the bowl. Both the ferrets were being little buggers this morning too and dan got fed up and "made them eat" Is that what we have to do if they just aren't cooperating? I think he sorta just poured the soup into their mouths. It sounded messy 😓

Smaller and soft bristled<3 Hmm, honestly, sounds like she's just being odd. You haven't changed the routine up at all, right? If it was super hot, she could have just not been hungry. Actually, I do what Dan did with Cow. Spoon feed, wipe on nose to get her to lick, and the moment she starts licking very slowly slide the soup onto her tongue so she laps it up. It's very important to make sure they are licking first though so they connect the two Dan's putting on the stern parent pants! *high five*

Thanks for the tips on teeth brushing 😊 We did it last night and wasn’t so bad. Flint wasn’t too please but Missy did well! And dan appreciates the praise <3
