Hi all! I made a post introducing myself last week. I've done a lot more reading and I'm getting a better idea of how to do this. I have four ferrets, Nipple, Peanut, Truffle and Tommy. They're all between 2 and 5 years old and varying weights between 1.5 pounds and 3.5 pounds. They have been on kibble their whole lives. I have given them Dianes dry dook soup with egg and pickle juice quite a few times and they took to it pretty quickly.
I have put in an order for a blender and a scale on amazon. They should arrive by the end of this week. From my understanding, I will start off with a raw soup everyday once a day but still leave out kibble during this time.
My raw soup will include the following: 8oz raw chicken thigh (boneless) 1oz raw chicken liver 1-2 raw chicken hearts 1/4 to 1/2 tbs human grade bone meal powder
Now, I have four ferrets, does this raw soup recipe only account for one ferret? So in total I will get 32oz of raw chicken thigh, 8 chicken hearts, 4oz chicken liver, and 2 table spoons human grade bone meal. I intend on mixing all of this together then dividing it into four portions for each. Please let me know that I am understanding this correctly or if I don't need that much!!!
Any other suggestions or corrections is VERY much appreciated. I want to do this right.
Thank you!
<3 Julie

To ensure the right balance, it's best to use 1oz of chicken hearts in the recipe because heart weights can vary.
