I think I asked this in the wrong area so I'm moving it here.
Hey everyone, I'm figuring out the raw diet thing and our butcher has duck breast. Is this safe for my ferrets? I've read lots of options on the super helpful FAQ pages but can't seem to find much about duck breasts. Thanks!

Duck is great, my furkids LOVE duck. Try and pair it overall with a few other lean meats too, as giving too much duck too steadily can make fuzzies pack on a bit of weight, lol (granted you are already feeding ferrets darker meats which are fattier and give more energy versus light meats that is).
It's honestly, an amazing item if you need to get some meat onto the bones of a very underweight ferret though. I personally like to pair duck with a meal of something lean like rabbit or frog the next meal afterwards. I do currently have a little tubber of a ferret who will try to eat even your toes to get to his duck, haha, so I found doing that way works the best to not overdo on the duck.. luckily he also loves his rabbit meals.

I usually keep a fair portion of the breast meat for myself lol. I give the rest, bony breast plate, ribs and attached meat to the ferrets. ciao
