I left the wing longer and waited. I know he was interested in it. When I went back hours later as we had a band competition, the wing was almost gone! Bone and all! Was all giddy for my little guy.
This morning I did chunky soup as I know he likes it. It was a small amount as I wanted to try other food while it was the weekend. At noon I gave him egg yolk and the beef organ meat mixture. He snubbed his nose at it two weeks ago. I know he likes egg so I decided to give him the beef mixed with the yolk. He dove in right away. Didn’t stay with it as I was in there to play but I have a feeling he will eat it all!
I am on the hunt for raw heart anything. Asian markets, upscale and general groceries. No luck! I have a friend who hunts and he will save the heart of his next kill but that could take a bit. I will keep giving the beef organ mixture mixed in whatever I can give him but still hoping to find a heart soon.

If you can't find heart be sure to get some taurine powder for him.

I have one more place to look but where can I find it in a powder?
The beef mixture he hates -- spits it out or lets it dry into bits. Trying a chicken wing again since that went well. Gave him some soup, too.
Might have a rescue to join us soon. Be nice for him to have some company.

You should be able to get taurine in with human supplements.

I looked for heart in five different spots. A few said they haven't had much heart in the last six months but to keep checking back.
I looked for taurine at Walmart - not there. I will try to get to the health food store this weekend and look for taurine while I continue to look for heart.

If you have the space to store it talk to a meat manager at your local grocery store. They will actually order hearts in for me. But with chicken hearts it has to be 10lbs, and beef heart it has to be 25lbs.

Good luck, Kriket! I have Ghost pretty much moving along on this raw diet. Feels good and I'm so proud of him. My new guy is older but seems to have taken ok to the raw soup so far.

Just to give an update Pan is almost 2 years old, 1.5 pounds and healthy I portioned out the big country raw patty into 2 oz "meat loafs" and put them in ice cube trays to freeze I've kept one loaf out for today, mixed it with warm water, some crushed kibble and her suppliment. I also crunched a bit of her freeze dried lung treats on top (she Loves those). Here's hoping she eats it today! Yesterday when I was spoon feeding Pan the cat came up and lapped it right out of the bowl! 😂 Cheers! ~K

No kidding! It was awesome! Hahaha!😸
We're having some success! Pan will eat if spoon fed! Now I just have to work on getting the kibble bits out of the mix. She won't touch plain meat soupie yet but all in good time. 😊
I'm a bit concerned about cleaniness because she wants to run her little soupy face all over the carpet after she eats. If I catch her fast enough I put her on a blanket that then gets washed but if not I follow after with a cleaner spray (all natural). How do you guys keep things clean? Thanks! ~K

I accept there will always be germs in my house lol. But as you are still hand feeding, when she's done put her down on a blanket or towel.
