I just got home from work minutes ago and found my 5 yo asleep in his cage. All over the cage area was the remains of his earlier meal (Gizzards) and small puddles of a clear/green shaded, very thin fluid. I cleaned it up and inspected it and it doesn't smell acidic, but I don't know how ferret vomit is supposed to smell. He's very lethargic now and is refusing his dinner and even refusing ferretone. I usually don't offer him ferretone but I've been using it to offset the taste of Metrodinazole antibiotics the vet gave him for bacterial overgrowth. I let him out to attempt play, and he did show some interest, but then after a minute or two of running, went back to sleep. He is doing some slight twitching in his sleep and I'm unsure if it's a symptom or not. Can anyone give me any advice for what to do right now? I'll take him back to the vet in the morning, but is there anything I can do now aside from just monitor him? Is it normal for ferrets to refuse food after getting sick?
UPDATE: He just pooped and it was the same clear junk in his cage earlier, so I don't think it was vomit. But why would there be undigested gizzards in his poop? They were whole chunks.

He needs a vet asap. It sounds like he may have a partial blockage.

As of this morning, he is eating again and still drinking water. He is still a bit lethargic but is acting better. I will likely take him to the vet anyway but he seems to be doing better.

I'm glad he seems to be doing better but I agree a vet trip would be a good thing.
