I saw this and I've read mixed reviews about it. Does it actually help, obviously I know it can range from pet to pet but for the most part. I was debating getting it because I'm not sure if the little one I'm interested in would need it and I would rather be safe with keeping her calm from the start than sorry with her stressed out and trying to calm her down later.

One thing to remember is that this is not a calming agent. It's used to calm in a moment not as a continuous use. Something horrible happens, going to vet, adding a new ferret...you use Rescue remedy. It is not a behaviour modification, they have other herbal remedies for that ciao

Heather is right, it's not a long-term behavioral modifier. But it can be amazing in a moment of stress or trauma. We just moved into a new home, and considering a move is stressful on even us... you can imagine the poor animals. All four my ferrets and cat got some before and after our move and it helped quite a bit in reducing the trauma of the moment and by now, in their nice 300sqft room, my fuzzies don't even seem to care or recall how bleh the move actually had been.

I figured that it wouldn't be long term. But I meant for the day I get her, since going to a new home is a pretty big thing especially for a little one. : )

For that and a few days afterwards it will work very well. I use it for transport, new and sudden changes, deaths of loved ones, introductions.... ciao
