Hi, I looked around on the forum and didn't find this so I thought I might suggest it. On hamsterhideout they have a thread for how long a pet lived and etc. I was thinking it might be helpful to start documenting age, medical history, treatment history, diet, and origin. For example
8 years Adrenal diagnosed at 5 years Treatment for adrenal starred in 2011 Whole prey Breeder
I know it's a touchy subject but I think it would be good to see how treatment and medical conditions affect ferrets... If there's already a thread like this I apologize.

Problem is that it would become to cunbersome very quickly if all kept in one location. If for example, I want an idea of how long a ferret treated with deslorelin can live, I would have to sort through a hundred or more posts to pick out the needed info on the way. That is why we sorted everything in to sub boards. Those looking for info on adrenal, look in adrenal board. Same for insulinoma, etc. And keeping them to those boards doesn't quite work either as many ferrets have multiple issues. So you would be duplicating a ton of info.

I have tried this here and on another forum/ it takes a long time and someone has to be dedicated to compiling data/ We've had 26 ferrets but didn't have any necropsies done, but average life span hs been 6-7 years outside of accidents.
