Hey all, so I just moved into a place that's less than ideal for ferrets to roam safely and was about to buy one of those pop-up playpens when my husband got an awesome idea... We've got a ton of moving boxes after moving and I'm a firm believer in recycling so waste not want not i say! We used 4 medium-large sized boxes and extra-strength gorilla tape to make this pen and due to the size/weight they can't lift it and cant climb over Pics below! imgur.com/gallery/7Sqvp

Nice job. They won't use the chairs to climb and jump the boxes? Mine would do that and they'd also chew at the gorilla tape. Any kind of tape is like crack to at least two of my four, they see tape and they must eat it.

Thanks for the feedback I only ever have them in here when supervised. They're both pretty old and have a hard time climbing so I'm not too worried about the chairs. They were digging at the tape before but I added another layer to the spot they were worrying and they've since stopped it's just a cheap solution until I either get them a new pen or move somewhere safer (older building with holes in the walls behind cupboards etc) Hope it helps anyone who needs a cheap playpen, even if it is just temporary

Man, I wish mine were laid back enough for something like that. They would be chewing the tape AND have lifted it up and gotten out from under it in about ten seconds flat. I set something like this up once and that's exactly what happened. : / I'm glad it's supervision only. It is super frustrating when they figure out how to get out from under it though.
