So I finally have Yoshi fully off of kibble I really need to make a switch thread for him while I wait on a mentor, and I will soon but for right now I'm just going to ask on here So I've had him on the soup for about 2 weeks, last week I didn't add any water and he took a day or so to adjust but he ate it still Now I'm trying to get him onto chunks/slivers and he is just not having it I just used skin on chicken thighs, pulsed in the food processor until they were chopped into small slivers I was able to skip this step with my first two ferrets as they were really young when I switched them and took to it with out a problem, went straight from soup to bone in chicken and organs in a few days So am I doing it wrong? Am I still supposed the include the organs when I chop it up? I was planning on giving him organ slivers later in the week, but I'm thinking the change in taste from not having the organs could be throwing him off. Or he just doesn't like having to chew so much. I'm not sure. Also I could hardly get him to eat any of the slivers this morning, and he's absolutely refusing them for dinner, is it ok to let him wait until the morning to try and feed again or could him not eating for that long cause issues? Thank you

He is going to be a stubborn one What you will need to do is take him slowly. Use your normal soup that he is accepting and add in 4 or 5 slivers about the size of the crescent on your pinkie nail. He will avoid them for a while, but will soon start accepting them in his soup. When he does, double the number of slivers. Keep doing this until he is half slivers and half soup. At that point increase the length of about a quarter of the slivers to double.
