Ok so my ferret Mika likes to rub her chin on her blanket so my question is...... do they have scent glands like cats? Is that her way of marking it as hers? Or is she just rubbing her face on it cuz its soft?

Does she do this after eating or drinking anything? Ferrets are incredibly clean animals, and always clean after a meal, which is when this behavior is most commonly observed (or when trying to dry off). I keep a neatly folded dish towel by mine's bowls for them to wipe their faces/whiskers clean on.

one word-YES They have glands on their faces that they use to mark places they've been. They will do their best to cleans themselves after eating, but I see it a lot when there is no meal around, lol. I also note that most if not all will lick their faces before tucking in to a bowl of soup, and to let you know it's dinner or treat time
