I've started a second attempt to switch my boy Yoshi a few days ago. He's taking to it much quicker this time and had been eating a few teaspoons of soup off of my finger every day, twice a day. But tonight when I went to try and feed him, I picked him up and his stomach lurched like he was going to vomit. He hadn't seen or smelled the food yet, so I know it wasn't him gagging at that. He was also playing just a few minutes earlier, he also pooped just a little earlier and it looked normal. After his stomach lurching he ran back into the closet and hid behind the clothes (where he was when I picked him up to feed him) I picked him up a few times and he would let me pet him for a little and then would run back into the closet. I decided not to push him, and just put him up in their cage, with a bit of kibble, which I've continued to feed him in small portions while switching him. Normally as soon as I put him up his face is in his bowl gobbling up kibble, but he just sniffed at it, drank some water, curled up and passed out in the corner. Now my girl is in there, after she ate she went and laid on top of him and kept licking and kind of nibbling at him, and snuggling into him, which is not really like her, which really makes me feel like He's not feeling good. She cuddles with him a little bit, but never babies him like that. I'm just wondering if this is at all normal or if I should be worried and keeping an eye out for other symptoms? Thank you in advance.

Not likely the diet but it could be anything from a stomach upset to having eaten something he shouldn't have. How's he doing now, eating? drinking? ciao

That does sound like nausea.

Heather he seems to be doing fine now. He ate all of his food through out that night, and He's been eating his soup and kibble like usual since, though He's eating more and more soup and less kibble (yay!) I think he may have just played a little too hard that night. Thank you for the response!
