I just happened across this on an Amazon review. Pretty neat!
****As of 3/7/17, I am changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars because Stella & Chewy honored it's customers' request and as of early Feb 2017, has removed the controversial toxic ingredients (see S&C statement below). My kitty will be chowing down on S&C products with best dates of 2/2/18!
"Our customers spoke and we listened. As of early February 2017, we have removed the menadione sodium bisulfite complex (aka. MSBC, a source of Vitamin K) and pea fiber in our dinners for cats. In our continued commitment to provide only the best nutrition to your feline friends, our fish-based products now contain dandelion greens (a rich source of vitamins and minerals) as well as fenugreek seed (another great source of vitamins and minerals). As always, the dinners for cats are still 98% meat, organ meat and bone with added probiotics, vitamins and minerals.
Please be patient as these products work through the supply chain and as the information is added to our website. Please note that any bag with a best-by date of 2/2/18 or later will be affected by this positive change. Feel free to reach out to our customer service team if you have any questions.

Wait, they did? Seriously? I have to totally go check this out, last time I checked their website the ingredients still include it in the list. I have been resorting to feeding the canine products from them and adding extra hearts to supplement the lack of proper taurine level.
I'll keep an eye out to see if they do indeed end up implementing this change.

They have already implemented it it seems but you have to make sure you get the bags best by date of 2/2/18. I'd imagine the only way you could do that is by contacting the online supplier to make sure you get those bags or call a store near you that has the product and ask them what their best by date is. If the bags are usually good for 2 years then that means they just started manufacturing the new bags without the MSBC only 3 months ago. I'd imagine it will take a bit before they go through all the older stock.

I buy my S&C from a local Holistic Pet Supply store. And I get that it takes a while, but I meant the change is not reflected yet on Stella & Chewy's own website. I believe the frozen cat products doesn't include the synthetic vitamin K, and it hasn't for a while, or even ever. I'm not sure. But the FDR cat products on S&C's site still include the ingredient in their ingredient lists as of this exact moment.
