Hi everyone! I need some advice. My ferret Duncan has developed an obsession with digging in the couch in the past two weeks and is not responding to any discipline. He is usually very well behaved and has always responded to discipline when he has done things he wasn't supposed to before this couch thing.
Duncan does already has his own dig box which he does use. I make sure to keep him stimulated by rotating his toys regularly and taking him to dig and play outside. He also gets plenty of out of cage time. I just cannot figure out what started this obsession with trying to destroy the couch or completely ignoring all discipline surrounding it.
I am starting to get frustrated and don't know what to do. Please help.

The only things you CAN do is either deny access to the room, or deny access to the sofa somehow. Heavy cover and so on. Something you may try that actually worked with one of mine and digging at one area of the carpet- consistent 3 minute time outs in a small empty cat carrier every single time she did it.
