Hi everyone! In the past week or so my ferret Duncan had become obsessed with digging in the couch. He is not responding to any discipline, he has a dig box already that he does use, I regularly rotate out his toys to avoid bored and he gets plenty if out of cage and mommy play time. I don't know what started this obsession but I am starting to get frustrated. Please help! How do I get him to stop?

You can try using a heavier material (canvas) under the cushions, to aid in stopping his digging behind the cushions. How well this works is dependent on how well you can tag down the canvas, how determined your ferret is. You can also nail a board on the underside of the sofa itself which some have found beneficial for those ferrets who come up from the underside. I will be honest I was totally unsuccessful from keeping my determined brats out of my sofa. ciao

I eventually just took the legs off of my couch to prevent them from crawling up into it. What type of material is it? We hav leather and they don't seem to dig at it. The bed on the other hand...
