I agree everyone! He was been playing daily and he eats a lot of soup willingly. He did sneak into the cat food today, so hopefully we can transition back to hard foods soon. Best a subborn eater and always has been. I've seen times where he won't eat a thing all day but the moment he gets out of the bedroom, he runs straight to that Purina One cat food. Still no sips from the water bowls though, so I'll keep checking.
Overall things really do seem good. We've been letting him out into the apartment more rather than just in the bedroom too so j think that helped. I'll update everyone after the ferret visit tomorrow afternoon!

If he is eating soup, odds are he doesn't need nearly as much fluid as when on that hard dry stuff. I know after transitioning to raw mine drink very little as they don't need it.

I second Sherry. He'll be getting a good amount of his needed hydration from the soup. Remember, carnivores are known to be bad when it comes to drinking water, they get most of their hydration from their diet, which is raw. That's why kibble-fed carnivores like ferrets, and even cats, are always toeing the line of dehydration.
My bunch drink a lot less on raw. They have 3 water lock croc bowls in their cage, and share the cat's pet fountain during the day. I replace their water simply to refresh and clean bowls, not because the levels actually get low since they just don't.

I am happy to report that Badger has been seen both eating and drinking on his own again. Also, a ferret resuce brought a few friends over yesterday and we adopted a fiesty 1 year old female named Mika. Her and Badger have been playing a lot and it wears him out but she has too much enegery. Almost too much, since she is a climber and a nipper. Hopefully we can get that under control soon!

Aww, way to go little Badger! Also, congrats on your newest addition to the family. Give the wee sprite some time, she'll likely settle down a little bit once she's gotten more used to her new surroundings and people. But don't expect her to just mellow flat out, the girlies, especially the sassy ones, seem like they are always ready to take on the world and nobody will stand in their way, haha. I'm sure she wil bring you guys lots of happiness and entertainment.

I'm glad he's feeling better. How are you doing? How did the shelter visit go?
