Here is a couple of pics of Miss Tia's little ones enjoying a breakfast of scrambled eggs These kits will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Consider this....if these were little farm ferrets, next Friday they would be taken from their momma and sibllings altered and descented. The following week they would be separated into shipping crates to be sent to various distributing centers as per orders and manifests to be placed in holding crates, with poor ventilatin, over-crowded and dirty and dirty conditions to await distribution to various pet stores. Is it not a wonder that we have so much difficulty litter training and trying to teach these little ones not to bite. I"m surprised that they ever get over the trauma. Give your little ones a hug because they've suffered horribly to become your littlest heart thieves. ciao

OMG they are so dark and cute!!! And that is so horrible - they are much too young to be away from momma, let alone go through all that It definitely puts it into perspective.

I must apologise for the state of the cage lol ( its desperate for a clean ) but moms rather touchy and until they are six weeks old I cannot get in with a cloth to wipe the back plate lol I prefer to leave her with what she is happy with she lets me clean the floor and corners rather quickly and put in food of course but anything else is a no no lol at six weeks it gets scrubbed until then she is in charge lol enjoy take care bye for now Bev aka crazy lady

Bev, no apologies needed: with a wonderful, ravenous brood like that, how could anybody with a love of fuzz do anything but stand in heart-melting awe And Heather; you are so right. The cruelties that people are capable of has no bounds. Cuteness becomes a best-before date, and the consumers who have not educated themselves drive that demand. It makes me angry as well.

Hi Just an update of some photos. Here are a couple of Tia's little ones. They're now 5 weeks old. Momma is still allowing them a night meal but they're eating their mush and meat at this point as well. First on the list is a wee hob, who is doing a wiggle dance A pair of little jills Another wee hob, who's a bit more into getting his picture taken and finally a pair of jills and their brother Just a thought...it at this age that our wee farm ferrets start their horrific journey. This is the exact age that they're taken from momma and siblings given kibbles for sustenance, dealt a horrible blow to their systems, by being altered and descented. Next week they will be already miles from home, being shoved, poked and prodded as they're sold to pet stores and distributed across the country in both Canada and the US ciao

OMG what absolutely adorable little black fuzzies! I am in LOVEEE! And Heather, it really does put it into perspective how young are kids really are when they start to go through that *shivers* I cannot imagine how damaging it is to a small baby fuzz. No wonder so many of our kids have issues (not to mention health issues)

They are so precious! And it is so unbelievable how tiny these wee ones are when the farms subject them to all of that
