Definitely! What we pay here is the equivalent to 146.3 euros.

That really is expensive! Not many pet stores round my area sell them, the pet shop I got my Missy and her sister (who died almost two years ago) and Bear from belonged to my Dads mate but hes closed down now so its quite hard to find a place to buy them, but they usually get sold for about £20 in pet stores in our area.

Starting to get a bit worried about Tilly's little one!
I think it may have finally clicked for Tilly that her other babies are gone as shes started running round everywhere looking for something and at the same time ignoring her baby's cries! It's either that or she can hear Missy's little ones and shes trying to find them, i'm not sure!?
Another thing is that Tilly's little one is VERY TINY compared to Missy's babies! I'm just wondering whether shes not getting enough milk?
Not sure what to do because this has never before happened in the four years that I've bred ferrets!? Any suggestions as to what I could possibly do?

Can you put the little one with the other litter? I've heard of fostering before but I"m not sure how to go about it. I will see if Bev's still on ciao

I was thinking about that but I was worried that maybe because the other litter are so much bigger that maybe she might find it difficult living with them im not sure.

Hi pinkstar distract the mum who has five babies ( take her out and offer her food ) then take the single baby and put him in the middle with the five so there smell goes on him then stand back and cross your fingers often they dont notice one extra especially as he will smell the same as her babies dont touch them for three or four days ( you can peek but dont put your hands in to lift him out ) good luck take care bye for now Bev aka crazy lady

as for finding it difficult to live with them no that wont be a problem mum will simply think she has a runt in the litter its surprising how smaller kits cope among big ones once the milk bar is available and there is only days between them take care bye for now Bev aka crazy lady

Hi, only just got on and read the messages because my internets been down :/ I did let Missy sniff the Tilly's little one and she immediately picked it up and put it in her nestbox and seemed perfectly fine. The only problem is that I'm worried its going to upset Tilly. I currently have two other young jills, do you think that maybe if I give Missy the baby and put the two other jills in with Tilly it may keep her mind off of the baby?

Hi yes let missy take care of the baby and pop tilly in with the other your jills ( she will play mom to the young jills and it will take her mind off babies ) you need to get the baby in with missy that way it will have a chance to feed and gain some weight take care bye for now Bev aka crazy lady

I am sure it will settle in just fine and missy will take good care of it for tilly don't worry if tilly begins dragging the other jills around and you hear screaming she will simply be playing mum to them and they wont like it lol don't think she is screaming for her baby she is not ! in 48-72 days time she will of forgotten all about them and the other girls will help to take her mind off things good luck take care bye for now Bev aka crazy lady

Well i gave Missy the baby and she seems really pleased with it . The little one just curled up with his new siblings and fell asleep (I presume its a lot warmer now). And i put the other two jills in with Tilly and she immediately dragged them into the nest box and wouldnt let them leave the nest box which i found rather amusing I'll be sure to check on the babys progress tomorrow and i'll let you know how hes getting on, and again thanks for all your help
