They seem to be doing well with the pieces they have now. I will keep an eye on their poop and decide what to do then or maybe I will take a photo and you can tell me if you think it looks like it needs more powder.

If you can get me a clear photo showing the poop, sure I can take a look. If they're happily eating their current pieces, you can increase with a few extra pieces again. Could you take a photo of one of their current meals to show what size and amount of pieces they're currently eating?

Food:A spoon of both soup and pieces This one I tried to show a piece. Some are smaller than this I didn't go for all of them to be the exact same size. This is the bowl of the whole batch of soup. There is just a bunch of pieces in the soup. Poop:Not sure who's poop is who's but this poop is there from yesterday and today.

Those look like fairly normal detox poops With the soup as it is a wet ground meat texture start increasing the size of the bits in there. I would actually try them with some pieces 2" long and about 1/4" in diameter(think meat spaghetti). Make a number of those and coat them with the soup.

We are out of eggs currently and I want to try and feed our ferrets eggs again since we haven't had a ton of success. I know I can go get more but I bought some quail eggs not that long ago and they are in our fridge. Someone said an egg a week is good for the ferrets but how many quail eggs because they are smaller?

Sorry for replying late, I was out all of yesterday, had to deal with some emergency stuff.
You can do up to around 3 quail eggs for the usual 1 chicken egg a week, and 3-5 quail eggs to replace the 2 chicken eggs during shedding season, if I recall correctly.
And yeah, those poops look pretty much the way detox poops look. Tummies are still adjusting to their new diet.
As for the soup, it's still pretty wet, so let's see about increasing the amount and sizes of the pieces in there, and like Sherry said, you can actually coat some of the longer strippy pieces with a bit of the soup kinda like a gravy/sauce on french fries, and see if they'll eat them just like that. But if they still aren't interested yet, just keep on increasing the size and amount in the soup.

No worries LindaM. Tried to give them some egg tonight. Albie ate a little of it and Gwin would not touch it. Big surprise there... I put in larger pieces of meat into the soup tonight so we will see how that goes.

Mine got some unbroken quail eggs for the second time ever (they've gotten quail egg without the shell before a couple times, but not really with shell unbroken) tonight, first time they had them unbroken, no one was very interested. Tonight though, Loki decided he'd crush the shell and run off with the egg and try eating it under my bedside table. I had to run and fish it out, luckily the inner sac had not broken to release any of the white or yolk yet. Just keep dabbing some egg on their noses, until they get used to the taste. Shedding season is going to be upon us soon, mine are already shedding their winter coats, so we're doing 2 eggs (chicken) per ferret, each week. Let me know how it goes with the soup, hopefully they won't have any issues with it.

For quail eggs, give 3 or 4 a week if you like

They are devouring their food right now! I gave them 3oz this morning because they haven't been eating more than that during the day usually and it is only 1:20pm and it is all gone. Glad I am stuck home today because of snow. I guess I will have to start giving them more during the day.

Yay! Let's see if they can keep it up. Have you increased the amount of pieces and their sizes yet? If you have and they're going at it like that, then that's even better.

I didn't make them all the same size some of the bigger ones seem to be less favorable bc they lick off the soup and leave the piece so some of them may be a bit to big at this point but they ate more this morning than this afternoon and evening. So we shall have to see how things go I guess. I did increase the size since we last talked.

I just noticed Albie is getting really fat around the middle. Is that normal with switching?

Try to keep the sizes of the pieces in the meal universal. If there are both smaller and bigger pieces together, they'll just go for the small and ignore the bigger ones. They're lazy little buggers like that when it comes to food. Is he actually getting fat? If you pick him up and he dangles in the air, is he a nice tube shape or does he really bulge out at the bottom? Have you been keeping a track of their weights and noting down any increases and decreases? Anything drastic happening in there? Kits will eat a bunch, that is for certain, but generally ferrets on a raw diet will regulate how much they are eating, and very rarely overeat.
