While I'm trying to get some extra variety in my ferrets' bone-in meals, I ended up seeing some chicken feet in the store.
Has anyone tried giving their ferrets some chicken feet? Can they eat them? And if they can, would these still be useful in helping to clean their teeth like general bone-in meals? I know chicken feet barely have meat on them, but can I put the chicken feet with some muscle meat to make a pseudo bone-in meal perhaps?

Many ferrets love them, and yes with extra meat they make for a decent bone in meal.

Thanks! Gonna try and see if I can get my two to eat them. They really could use extra variety for their bone-in meals.

Just remember they must be fed with another muscle meat otherwise they're just bone in, not bone in meat. To feed entirely on their own they will cause constipation ciao

Heather Yea, I'm planning on adding them to some muscle meat to create like a pseudo bone-in meal.

My boys loovvveee the chicken feet. Took a few tries to get them used to it. Dean chews for a while then stashes his. But Sam will spend 30 min on his. Chews the fingers off first, then takes a nap, then chews on the rest when it's "aged" a bit!

I have been giving them to ours as a treat not part of a meal. They seem to play with them mostly. I have seen them take off toe or 2.
