Ok so I have successfully converted all my fuzzies to raw soup. Absolutely no kibble or FDR of any kind. I have started adding in small chunks of meat to their soup but they are literally eating around it. Is there a specific way I should be giving them chunks? Is it because of the soup? Should I cut down on the blending?
Help?!?!?
Please and thank you

I slowly changed the soupy consistency of mine to become less watery and more coarse, all the way up to having little chunkies in and then to bigger chunks. So you could see if you blend it a little more coarse and not too fine, if they will try it then.

You can also add ground meat to their soup, starting with a very small amount mixed in and steadily increase the ratio. Once half and half then start adding slivers of meat the size of your pinkie crescent to that and repeat.

I am now trying the slivers and we will see how it goes.

Well so far slivers are a no go. They hate them and don't want to try them. (headwall)

It takes a while When I go from soup to slivers I add in 5 or 6 slivers every meal until they start to eat them. And they will, it just takes time. Once they DO eat them, then double the slivers every 3-4 meals until half and half, then increase size of 5 or 6 and repeat

Ok I can do that. I started adding less water do its really thick soup. They are actually eating it that way.

If they have no problem with the thick soupie, you can continue simply upping the texture until it's just a bowl of little bits, kinda like a chunky salsa, and keep making it chunkier till it's a little pile of slivers instead.

That's kind of where I'm at now. The slivers were a no go so I stopped adding so much water and am slowly adding less water each time. It seems to be working since they are eating it

Have you tried to see if they'll maybe accept some small slivers with a dab of salmon oil on? You might need to sit with a ferret in your lap and offer the sliver in your hand though. Chicken is a good start for it because of the mellow flavor it has. My babies kicked a fuss with the beef slivers, but they gobbled chicken slivers.

since you are going the less water route, get it to about the consistency of wet ground meat and then add the slivers.
