So I have already started on the road to transitioning on my own until I'm able to get a mentor. I have already done the application for one
So a little about each of my fuzzies (Including my foster Todd)
Miska is a very pretty light chocolate female that turned 7 months old January 3rd. I got her when she was a tiny little 8 week old. She was always been calm, sweet and pretty affectionate.
Shila is my gorgeous dark chocolate female with milk dipped paws and face. She will be 7 months January 31st. I also got her when she was a kit. She was about 8 weeks old when I got her as well. She is my naughty, into everything and generally hates being held.
Akira is my pretty cinnamon female. She turned 7 months old January 10th. She is my most recent ferret and this Thursday I will have gotten her a week ago. She is still coming out of her shell so I'm not 100% sure what her personality is like.
Todd is a pretty sable male. He too is 7 months old but I forgot what day exactly. Todd is my foster and actually does belong to a friend of mine. He required surgery to fix a prolapse that he was sent from marshalls with and required around the clock attention and care and due to my friends schedule she was unable to give him all the attention he needed so she entrusted him to me. He is a pretty calm boy, not into everything although being held isn't his idea of fun.
All 4 of them are currently on the raw soup. Akira and Todd are taking to it a lot easier then Miska and Shila but then again Miska and Shila have been spoiled when it comes to the type of kibble and FDR they were eating. Akira and Todd were both on Marshalls prior to coming here.

Well Todd is off to the vet to have his rectal stitches removed. Hopefully the prolapse doesn't reoccur

How is their transition going? If you could post here what you're feeding how you're feeding it and how much they're eating we'd love to see (giggle)

They are currently eating 2 times a day and right now it's a thick raw soup with slivers of chicken thigh and breast mixed in. I'm trying to get them accustomed to eating tiny bits of meat now that they are comfortable eating the soup.
Miska being my most picky has made huge strides in raw and although she's still slower to try new things like the meat slivers, she's trying.
I'm still doing the raw soup mix and now slivers and between the 4 of them sometimes they eat all of it sometimes they have small amounts left when it's time for their next feeding. I'm feeding them 2 (sometimes 3) times a day.
Their energy levels are through the roof and they constant dook. We have had a couple bouts of diarrhea and that's something we are working to get under control.
I also weighed everyone last night and so far Todd has gained the most weight (he's 2 lbs 9 oz), with Akira being second (1 lb 7 oz). Miska and Shila have both gained a couple ounces each.

That is so Good! Let them get use to eating the little slivers, then ever so slowly up the amount until poof. There's no soup. If you're slick enough they won't even know it happened. Patience and persistence is key what kind of proteins are you able to find at your local stores?

I'm currently only using chicken. Miska and Shila are used to having beef in their soups but Todd and my new girl Akira aren't and refuse it.

I was just curious to see what kind of variety you could find for future use keep them on what they're use to for now definitely
